Remembering Mrs. Smith’s notes, how would you alter her mobility?

Educate the patient about the importance of small, frequent changes of position when seated and in bed
Reduce the pain control being provided, allowing the patient to become more physically uncomfortable and restless
Instruct the patient about the importance of reducing pressure over the heels by elevating the heels at regular intervals
Provide bed mobility aids such as a turning pole, an overhead ‘monkey grip’ as appropriate
