Welcome to Topic 1: Introduction

This topic will provide you with an overview of the structure and functionality within this course.

By the end of this topic you should be able to:

  • follow the interactive instructions
  • describe the function of the screen navigation buttons
  • identify the structure and content areas for this course
  • describe the occurrence of pressure ulcers (PUs)
  • discuss the impact PUs have on patients, carers and the health care system.
