You have just completed Topic 1: How to Assess Risk.

The key point to remember is that all health care personnel need to understand PU risk factors and be alert to changes that may alter a patient’s risk levels. 

Now that you have completed this topic you should be able to:

  • discuss the importance of conducting a clinical assessment
  • discuss the importance of conducting a standardised risk assessment
  • conduct a risk assessment using a standardised tool.
