Wound Pain![]() In order to effectively manage wound pain, you need to assess the pain. You need to determine if the pain is due to infection, dressing removal, allergy to dressings, anxiety, etc. You also need to plan pain management around wound care and be cognisant of patients who have reduced sensation, i.e. neuropathy.
